Eleazor Bromberg, applied mathematician and NYU administrator, began his career at NYU in 1953 at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Studies. He started as the Administrative Director of the Atomic Energy Commission's Computing Center. In 1957 he became the Administrative Manager of Courant and in 1959 the Assistant Director.
